The ICCM Best Paper Award is an annual award, under the auspices of the International Congress of Chinese Mathematicians (ICCM). Each year, recent papers in pure and applied mathematics with at least one author of Chinese decent are nominated by mathematicians worldwide. The nominated papers are then evaluated by a Selection Committee consisting of world-renowned experts from various areas in mathematics. Awards are given to papers based on their originality and their impact on their area of research. About 10 BPAs are expected at the 2024 ICCM.
This is an annual ICCM memorial award, first established by Professors Shing-Tung Yau and Shing-Tong Yau in 2013, in honor of their mother's memory. It is awarded to a mathematician who has made seminal contributions to mathematics in recent years.
